That temporary and ephemeral population growth in St. Louis City for maybe about two Census Bureau estimate cycles that Mayor Slay bragged about? The minor growth that was caused by an interest in urban professionals about renovating old stock city housing in certain neighborhoods?
Gone. Now we’re at two years in a row that Census estimates that the city’s population has returned to a state of decline.
Lesson? There are only so many yuppies.
