This is Jamiel Shaw, 17, the latest victim of Southern California’s black-Hispanic hostilities.  Los Angeles city leaders are now finally acknowledging the hostilities; they were loath to admit them before now.  But I hate to break the news to them — diversity confabs, diversity vigils, and throwing more cops at the problem won’t slow it down one bit.

A member of the 18th Streeters, a Hispanic gang, accosted Mr. Shaw and asked him if he belonged to a gang.  Before he could answer no, one Pedro Espinoza, 19, allegedly mowed him down.  CNN reports here that Mr. Espinoza could face the death penalty, but since this happened in California, “face the death penalty” is a punchline.  As it is, the Federal judiciary is still trying to decide on a humane way to execute murderers.

As an aside, if Mr. Espinoza is convicted of this murder, the crime will be officially recorded as a white-on-black homicide, as Hispanic criminals and welfare recipients are counted as white.  If there is enough evidence to add hate crime riders to these murder charges, then it will officially appear to be a white-on-black hate crime, one that a certain institution in Montgomery, Ala. will soon use to pontificate about white right-wingers.
