Now That’s What I Call “Success” December 7, 2007

Yesterday in this medium, I covered a story by Dr. Jerome Corsi on WND, and ridiculed the official propaganda that the FBI/LAPD partnership in combatting Hispanic gangs was a successful model.

Here’s another piece of that success — the clearance rate for homicides in Los Angeles is only 39%.  Factoring out one high-clearance LAPD jurisdiction, it’s only 34%.

And to “clear” a homicide only means that the police gather enough evidence to warrant an arrest.  As we all know, there are many steps in the process between arrest and prison.  It is likely that only a fraction of those 39% actually see the inside of a prison.
