Murderer of the First Degree November 8, 2007

The verdict came down late this afternoon; Kevin “Rock Head” Johnson, of Meacham Park, is officially guilty of the murder of Kirkwood Police Sgt. William McEntee in July 2005. I was fearful that his “I was bonked out because of my little brother” sing song and dance was going to hang up permanently any group of twelve registered voters from St. Louis County, in that no such group would be able to decide unanimously between Murder 1st and Murder 2nd.
However, the surprising part about this second trial is that Mr. Johnson didn’t take the stand in his defense to use the “bonked out” excuse, though the tape of his doing so at the first trial was presented by McCullough as prosecution evidence. Why would he punt away his only football?
My guess? I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Mr. Johnson’s lawyers and McCullough came to a secret deal that the defense wouldn’t play the “bonked out” card (virtually guaranteeing a guilty of Murder 1st verdict), in exchange for McC not seeking the death penalty during the penalty phase. The good part about this theory is that next week’s penalty phase will show whether it’s true or not.
If he is sentenced to death, then the fun has only begun. In that case, get ready for the far-left goobers in this town and every other town to make it their thing while he’s on death row. They have already turned him into a Mumia-like caricature. He tried to help that cause along.
UPDATE 9:05 PM: So much for my theory. The penalty phase has already begun, and McCullough presented arguments for the death penalty. Therefore, it looks like Mr. Johnson’s lawyers’ decision not to put him on the stand to rehash the “bonked out” line was a calculated gamble that failed.

Seven schools that are in the municipalities of Independence and Sugar Creek, Missouri, but part of the Kansas City School District, will now become part of the Independence School District. Voters in both districts approved the generation-in-the-making transfer on Tuesday. It is estimated that in this one felt swoop, the KCSD will lose a third of its white students.
This is the penultimate repudiation of the notion that money in and of itself makes good schools. These seven schools are jettisoning the KC district, and the results of court-ordered lavish spending for them in the 1980s and 1990s (the Olympic-sized pools debacle), for a school district that spends less per pupil per year.
Under state statute, if Kansas City district voters had rejected the proposal, the issue could be turned over to a state-appointed arbitration panel. A change in state statute, passed this year, would force the panel to allow the change because the Kansas City district, which is provisionally accredited, scored at an unaccredited level in its latest annual performance report by the state.
If Kansas City had voted against the change, civil rights attorney Arthur Benson II had promised to file a federal lawsuit. He argued the change in the law would force a boundary shift that would significantly reduce the number of white students in the majority black Kansas City district. The Kansas City school board had likewise raised constitutional concerns, saying its voters would be disenfranchised.
Benson was out of state Tuesday night and could not be reached, but said last week that he likely would not file a challenge if Kansas City voted for the change.
Instead, Kansas City School District leaders are faced with the fact that a majority of its voters approved a boundary change despite a unified campaign by the school board, Superintendent Anthony Amato and Kansas City’s teachers against the switch.
It’s obvious why the KCSD School Board opposed the transfer — since the District is already teetering on the brink of disaccreditation, and if that happens, that Board loses its power, they needed those white students in the KC district to keep the test scores high enough to stave off the state wolves. As for Mr. Benson, the civil rights industry is interested in racial mixing, and the continuous stream of money from the U.S. Justice Department to lawyers like himself.

‘All modern discoveries are by Muslim scientists’
LAHORE: Muslim scientists have made all discoveries of the current age, said University of Columbia’s Arabic and Islamic Studies prof George Saliba at a seminar at the Government College University (GCU) on Monday. The seminar, titled The Problems of Historiography of Islamic Science, was held at Fazl-e-Hussain Hall. Saliba gave a critique of the standard classical accounts of the rise of Islamic science. He detailed problems in the accounts and explained alternative historiography that described the rise of an Islamic scientific tradition as a result of social and political conditions within the nascent Islamic empire. He said Muslim philosophy was the impetus behind Islamic science that had contributed to various disciplines including botany, zoology, algebra, trigonometry, physics, chemistry, astronomy, physics, chemistry, physiology and mathematics in the pre-industrial era. He said the use of decimal fractions was not a Western invention and that it was discovered by a Muslim scientist. He said the binary system, on which the computer was based, was also invented by a Muslim scientist. He said Arab/Islamic science was not an intermediary between Greek science and European science, but was rather the Renaissance that integrated the Islamic science with European science. Saliba also visited the English Language and Literature Department where he engaged faculty members in a conversation on the Islamic and Renaissance paradigms.
While a lot of this was true in the early days of the Islamic Caliphate, the reason is that it was overwhelmingly Caucasian. It wasn’t until the Arabs decided to get themselves involved in facilitating black slavery that they started miscegonating with blacks, and not so coincidentally, the ability for Islamic societies to churn out inventions and innovations declined.
One might want to laugh at this article’s headline, and make comparison to similar and ridiculous claims by black supremacists, but the reason it’s not that crazy is that it contains a slight kernel of truth.
